Dr. J.S. Lundsgaard founded IRD in 1995 through a buy-out of Innovision R&D A/S from the Innovision Group. Dr. J.S. Lundsgaard, co-founder of Innovision A/S and a range of new high-tech companies, now acts as Director of IRD. Dr. J.S. Lundsgaard is also a Member of the Danish Parliament.
Bjørn Thorsen, Managing Director, CEO.
Bjørn Thorsen, B.Sc.(Prod. Eng.), B. (Business Administration), has a strong background in Business as well as Operations. Bjørn joined IRD after more than eleven years at Gutor Electronics LCC in Switzerland, one of the world's largest UPS companies in the field of oil and gas.
Steen Yde-Andersen, R&D Manager
Steen Yde-Andersen has been involved with fuel cell, super capacitor and battery research and development since 1982. Steen has participated in and coordinated many publicly and privately founded national and international research projects. Steen Yde-Andersen has thus been involved in the upstart and founding of several battery and fuel cell companies.
Madeleine Odgaard, CEO, IRD LLC. USA
Madeleine Odgaard, M.Sc. (Chemistry) has a strong background in electrochemistry, and has been working in the field of material science and fuel cells for more than fifteen years. Madeleine has participated in the development of fuel cell components and systems from the basic research phase and into the production phase.
Laila Grahl-Madsen, Director of Science and Technology
Laila Grahl-Madsen, M. Sc. (Geology), Ph.D. (Advanced ceramic), has more than 10 years of experience within fuel cell R&D. Given her scientific background, Laila coordinates several EU- and nationally funded projects. Laila has been a member of the ’Programme Commission on Sustainable Energy and Environment’ since 2005, and a member of ‘The industrial Ph.D. Programme Committee’ since 2008, both under the ‘Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation’.
